Welcome to the North Berwick Day Centre web site
July/August 2021 - The Day Centre reopened on 19th May for a restricted service. The centre is now open 3 days a week for a limited number of members taking into account the social distancing requirement. Bus trips are arranged on the other two days specifically for members who cannot attend the centre and those members with carers who need a bit of respite.
The refurbished garden has been a great hit with members especially when the weather has been fine.
A home based outreach service is still being provided for those that require this type of service.
We constantly assess the best service to provide within the continually changing guidelines.
Once again our dedicated staff team and our invaluable volunteers have been providing a first class service specifically tailored to the needs of the individual member.
About the North Berwick Day Centre (pre-Covid 19)
The North Berwick Day Centre is all about improving the quality of life for older people who live independently in and around North Berwick. The Day Centre is in the centre
of North Berwick community; it’s a place to make new friends and keep in touch with old ones.
Our activities help people learn new skills and hobbies, rediscover old ones, build confidence and have fun. We also provide a little bit of help and support and a nutritious home cooked meal – all the ingredients to help people live longer and more happily and independently in their own homes.
If you are living independently in the community, and want a bit more out of life (or know someone who does) get in touch.
If you need support with hearing, mobility, sight, special diet etc. you will be supported by the staff at the Day Centre, who will ensure you have the appropriate equipment or support to enable you to get the most from your day centre.
